Soccer Academy General Information
Community S.League Club, Tampines Rovers Football Club’s Soccer Academy – a youth development soccer programme was started in Year 2000.
The programme has reached a milestone with a proper training ground in front of Tampines Stadium, thanks to the assistance of the Housing Development Board. Effort and money have been spent to renovate and improve the ground to what it is today. This is to ensure that trainings are conducted in a proper and conducive environment for the kids.
The training session is conducted on every Sunday morning and afternoon under qualified coaches. The programme catered for kids from the aged of 7 to 16 years old. The participating kids are grouped to the respective Aged Group Under 16, Under 14, Under 12 and Under 10.
The community programme is to promote and develop football among the youths. Skills will be learnt and new friends will be found in the programme. The kids in the programme are also invited to participate in the Club activities.
The programme receives a boost with former International and National team captain, Nazri Nasir joining the Club in a managerial capacity. Nazri will be overseeing the running and activities in the Soccer Academy programme.

Jeffrey Adam Lightfoot & Mohd Adri Adnan
Two young boys from Tampines Rovers Soccer Academy, Jeffrey Adam Lightfoot and Mohd Adri Adnan, did the club proud when they were selected by the Football Association of Singapore to represent CapitaLand Retail Under-12 in the Saitama International Junior Football Tournament, in Tokyo from 25 July to 29 July 2007.
For Lightfoot, it was greater honour to be named skipper of the Singapore side, who finished 12th out of 40 teams in the week-long competition.
Lightfoot and Adri have been representing the Stags academy in numerous age-group competitions. Through their development at the academy, both have excelled and are noted for their discipline.
The talented duo, both of whom are physically strong and technically sound, have the potential to become far better players as they grow up. Their enthusiasm for learning and acquiring new skills will play a big part in their quest to reach new heights in the national youth soccer arena.

Not surprisingly, Lightfoot was influenced to play football by his die-hard dad Mark Ligtfoot and elder brother Daniel, and before long his potential was spotted when he joined our academy.
He was then selected to represent the academy in various age-group competitions. Under the close guidance and supervision of his dad and academy coaches, the young Lightfoot has matured into a confident player.
A student of Anglo Chinese School (Junior), Lightfoot has the full support of his parents to pursue his football ambitions. If he carries on with the same kind of enthusiasm and training, there's no telling what he might achieve. In other words, no prizes for guessing what are his goals and dreams.

For Adri Adnan, hailing from East Spring Primary School, the Tokyo trip was just the sort of boost the young boy needed. His football passion started when he was in Primary 1, after watching games with his father. He then took soccer for his CCA and, naturally, got selected to play for his school. Adri was delighted when he was picked to take part in
Tokyo, no least because it meant that his was on the right track.
His dream is to become a national footballer and we have no doubts that if he keeps up his good progress, he would one day don the national colours, indeed.
